Nayan, back in Malayalam
Nayantara, who started her career with Malayalam films, is returning to her roots again after a gap of three years. The pretty actress is the reigning queen in both Kollywood and Tollywood.
Nayantara will appear opposite Prithviraj in Twenty:20, directed by popular Malayalam director Joshi, being made to raise revenue for the Malayalam Actors' Federation. All prominent Malayalam actors, including superstars Mohanal, Mammootty, Suresh Gopi, Dileep, Jayaram and others are acting in this movie for free.
Nayan, who is riding the success wave after her show-stopping glam makeover in Billa, had agreed to act in this film only because of its noble cause. Recently, she shot a song sequence for the film with Prithviraj in Chennai for four days under choreographer Brinda’s supervision.
Priya Mani with Nitin
Priya Mani has been looking for offers desperately for some time. She acted in films like Pellaina Kotthalo, Toss, Bhayya, etc. She also acted in Yamadonga opposite Jr. NTR. But it was another co-star from the film, Mamata Mohandas, who has bagged more offers than Priya Mani.
Priya Mani also made a statement some time back that she would only act with young heroes. This has also resulted in her not getting many new offers.
She has now bagged a role opposite Nitin in a new film to be made by T.V. Kumar, a newcomer who will direct this film. Kelly Dorjee and Dr. Sivakumar will play special roles in the film.
Shriya shocked at Tirumala temple
South Indian damisel Shriya seems to have had a harrowing experience at Tirumala on the day of Ugadi. She attended the Suprabhatha Seva and when she came out, a fan tried shaking her hand and then moved closer to her. Panicked at the advancements, Shriya slapped him and he ran away. The fan is later identified as Hari, a cleaner.
Sriram, Prithviraj's Police Police
Pinnacle Pictures Pvt Ltd banner is producing a film titled Police Police with Sriram and Prithviraj in the lead. The film is started today without much publicity here in Hyderabad. Manmohan is making debut as director. Chandu is the producer. The film boasts of high technical values and concept based. Srikar Prasad will handle editing, Rajasekhar will handle camera and Peter Haines will compose stunts for the film. Chakri is the music director. This schedule will continue from 15th of this month to 10th of May. Sriram, Pruthviraj, Pooja, Brahmaji, Vikram, Sivakrishna, Chalapati Rao and others will participate in the schedule.
Bujjigadu to release on 16th May
Director Puri Jagannadh's new entertainer Bujjigaadu..made in channai, starring Prabhas and Trisha, will be hitting the screens on May 16th. Producer K S Ramarao informed that the film's shooting has come to end. "We are currently shooting a song and fight sequence in Chennai. We wrap it in two days. Audio of this film will be released on April 18th," he added. The unit then will leave for Newzeland to can two songs with Prabhas and Trisha. The film also stars Mohan Babu in a Key role. Debutant Sanjana is playing second female lead. And the Music is scored by Sandeep Chowta
Hansika, Tamanna with Ram in B.Gopal's film
TotalTollywood recently reported that Ram might soon act in the direction of B.Gopal and this film might start either after or simultaneously with Rey.., which was scheduled to start after Ready. However, reliable sources now say that B.Gopal's film might start ahead of YVS Chowdary' Rey.. since YVS Chowdary is still working on the pre-production work of the film.
MS Raju will produce B.Gopal, Ram's film. As per the sources, Hansika and Tamanna are roped in as heroines. This film will start either ahead of Rey or will run in parallel production with Rey. Meanwhile, Ram's Ready is in post-production stage. There is good craze for this project in the market. One of the good signs for this is that Nizam area is acquired by Dhil Raju for a big amount. Audio of the film is scheduled to release on 25th of this month. Devisri Prasad composed music for the film.
